Morning light in Savannah is just as pretty – even arguably more so – than golden hour! Many of my clients opt to schedule their sessions in the morning, and I don’t mind! The air is light and crisp, it’s not too humid usually, and there’s even less people outside than normal.
Forsyth park in the morning is truly magical. The way the sun rays hit the Spanish moss on our Live Oak Trees is something you have to witness on your next trip to Savannah.
For these two lovebirds, we walked around the park just chasing dappled sunlight. We started at the Fragrant Garden, one of our most popular spots for photos. It’s only open on weekdays from 9am-2pm, but it’s stunning if you can get in.
Then we walked up the side of the park to get photos with the blooming Hydrangeas, one of my favorite flowers! The are truly stunning. The side of the park leads up to the North sidewalk that intersects with Gaston Street, and this sidewalk has a beautiful tree tunnel effect. It remains one of my most underrated photo spots!
We finished up their session with some photos by the infamous Forsyth Park fountain, and then a few under my favorite branch!
