You can’t tell from most of these photos, but these two kiddos were NOT having it at the beginning of our family session! Hahah, this actually happens way more than people think and it’s really nothing to be embarrassed about, kids will be kids! I always recommend a 45 minute session so they have time to calm down and get used to a camera being pointed at them. Another great tip is to keep candy on hand! Marshmallows, M&Ms, and Jelly Beans all work great. “Smile for the candy!” gets em almost every time.

We ended up having so much fun at the end just letting them play in the sand and enjoy being on the beach. Burke’s Beach is one of my favorite gems in the Hilton Head Island area because the parking is still free and it’s typically way less crowded than Coligny Beach. It does get windy sometimes though, so just be prepared for that! Anyway, here’s Ellen and her adorable family this last summer <3 !
